Sale steals...

I know I'm abit late on a January Sales post, as I've had these items for a few weeks, but I have finally invested in a proper camera and wanted to try it out with my latest additions to my wardrobe!

The perks of working in retail is that I often get to see what's going in the sale before it hits the shop floor, so if I'm quick enough this can often mean first dibs on items. Another benefit to retail is coming across hidden gems that may have been forgotten about in the stock room and missed, or if something hasn't sold, it gets further mark downs, which is when some of the best bargains are to be had!

How beautiful are these...
On a Friday at work we sometimes get sent Topshop Sale shoes, I am a size 3 and we rarely get sent them, however a few Friday's ago my luck was in and I snapped up these beauties! (Thanks to Chloe... I will miss you!)  I'm a size 3, and these are a 4, but they fit well as they are closed at the back and have the ankle strap. I've been looking for the perfect nude/dusky pink shoe and think I've definitely found it with these!

I first bought this beautiful little Miss Selfridge beaded jacket in December with Christmas parties in mind, but I couldn't afford to keep it (at £55 it was a bit steep so close to Christmas) So I was thrilled when it went into the sale at half price! I absolutely love the intricate, delicate beading on this, I think it has a real vintage look to it. I plan to wear it back to front so the back is open with just the little hook and eye fastened. Every once in a while I buy something that I know I'll always keep in my wardrobe and this is definitely one of them.

This little £5 Warehouse number is from last summer and I absolutely love it! The window pane mesh panelling is what drew me to this top as it is so unusual. This is the beauty of sales, if something gets forgotten in our stock room, like this top, then by the time we come across them and bring them onto the shop floor they will have gone right down! (Warehouse have brought this style out again, pretty much identical) Which can be found here... http://www.warehouse.co.uk///warehouse/fcp-product/02233201

This lovely leather Oasis bag was an absolute sale bargain, at £7 I knew it was a colour that would always fit in with my wardrobe, as I mainly have quite a monochrome/neutral colour palette to mine, so a pop of bold colour is never going to go amiss with an outfit! Plus the fact it is real leather also swayed me, as real leather is always an investment piece as it lasts much longer.
Here is a link to the coral version of this bag which is also in the sale for £15.

I have bought SO many things over the years simply because they are in the sale, as it's so easy to get caught up in sale frenzies, and have come to realise that savvy sale shopping is about buying and investing in things that you know you will wear time and time again, rather then just buying something to wear once simply because 'its in the sale.' (Unless I was looking for a certain item to complete a particular outfit!)

Apart from the mess and chaos, what's not to love about sales... you can get items that are great quality for less, from brands you may not normally be able to afford, which is definitely something I'm a fan of!

As much as I hate tidying the sales up at work, I do love having a nosey through them and picking up bargains such as this little lot!

And if you're not a fan of sale shopping, theres always online sales, from the comfort of your own home. (I may have indulged slightly in a Missguided sale spree today... but it would have been rude not too when they are sending emails out with an extra 40% off sale code...)
